we haven't been able to maintain any consistent habit of programming (or much else) so we wasted a little time this evening tweaking our simple Mandelbrot set to draw Julia sets for the recurrence relationship zn+1 = zn + c, with greyscale shading.
both images shown cover a square region in the complex plane from z0 = -1.5 - 1.5i to z0 = 1.5 + 1.5i. c = -0.4 + 0.6i in the first picture; c = 0.28 + 0.008i in the second picture.
