I'd say StarBreak isn't an RPG. It does have stats but progression isn't long-term and there is no in-depth story, either. It manages to still be an MMO by being truly f2p (there are no transactions at all anymore), running in browser (built in html5), and having a roguelike gameloop (die -> reset character progress, maintain account progress)
Hadn't heard of it, but it definitely looks like something I'd be into if I had time lol Maplestory was the only RPG I really stuck with for more than a few hours, this sure hits the platformer notes.
There was stuff like Rumble Fighter, GunZ, S4 league, Tales Runner that were massive online games that weren't necessarily RPGs
