idk how common of an experience this is or if it's just because i'm in central florida, but i'm remembering how in my computer-based classes in high school (so like 2010-2012) we'd have representatives from private for-profit art schools come and pitch to us for a class period. schools like full sail or the art institutes. they'd be like yeah our campus is so COOL, you should come learn filmmaking or game design here! we've got all these industry connections, you could get a game design degree and then go get a job at EA TIBURON where they have a COMPANY STORE and a CEREAL BAR

then the recruiter would leave and we'd google the school and see all the reviews from employers that were like "yeah kids from full sail are woefully unprepared for our industry so at a certain point we just started throwing those resumes straight in the garbage"
