i won't call him out by name but i feel like one of the main tv writers they've got on polygon these days is just constantly posting the worst takes. the comments on like all of his reviews are always full of frustrated but thoughtful paragraphs-long rebuttals from people who are like "your entire thesis is flawed and i have no idea how you even got to this interpretation of the text"
i almost skipped out on barry because i saw his review that called the last season a "fascinating failure" because there were fewer jokes. i almost believed him
