been listening to the new glass beach album a lot. it's fantastic, but it's definitely had to grow on me a little since it's so stylistically different from their first album in so many ways - and honestly, even the two singles weren't particularly representative of the album as a whole. also i was reflexively annoyed because their first album is a contender for my favorite album of all time and i saw several snobby takes like "wow i thought the first album was overrated and mid but this is more like it, they've really Matured with this one." but those takes aren't the band's fault lol
