there is definitely a genre of posters on twitter (and elsewhere, but i mainly notice it on twitter) who've latched onto the discussions about how people are weird and dismissive about JRPGs and just use it to say shit like "and that's why if you say the continuity in kingdom hearts is a little convoluted you're just illiterate" or "and that's why if you didn't like xenoblade 2 because of the fanservice you're racist" as often as possible. this feels like certain twitter guys' entire personalities

people on twitter dont seem to handle other opinions very well for some reason, they're always trying to find some way to dismiss them entirely
I wouldn't be surprised if this was only a couple peoples opinions that others latched onto
social media is very good at giving people opinions - you just see what your friends' opinion is, and it becomes yours without you really critically thinking about it
it's the difference between "These are my thoughts" and "these are thoughts I've seen 10 times, I guess that's right"
to some extent i can agree with the kh take but xenoblade 2 defenders can be so asinine lol
