a little followup to my hazbin hotel review: against my will i have received a gift in the mail from my best friend jake (if you have been following me since the olden times: yes, that jake), who proofread the article
his rationale for getting me the alastor desk mat was apparently "it was either that or the alastor poster, and i figured you couldn't rip the desk mat to shreds"
"finally, a surface perfect for cardboard craft...get me my exacto-knife post-haste!"
addendum: since i don't have a proper desk of my own, i considered sneaking this onto anthony's desk while he was asleep without telling him. ultimately i decided not to have him use it at all, because i feel like owning a dirty used desk mat of a character we hate is worse for my pysche than owning a pristine one
anyway i showed it to anthony before i told him where it came from and the look of pure terror on his face as he tried to discern whether or not i purchased this myself was indescribable
this was apparently part of their valentine's day merch drop (hence all the hearts) so that would have been thematically appropriate
