These medals are presented to Gyda, daughter of Trouse, for most extraordinary heroism in connection with operations against an armed enemy whilst serving as an officer of Company A, 16th Landship Battalion, 8th Cavalry, in action against the enemy in the 47th day of Summer, 2819 outside the occupied town of Kantornne. SWO Gyda demonstrated outstanding and fearless leadership, and great tactical skill when her unit was ambushed.
When her landship was disabled by an enemy mech, she changed to another to continue the attack. Upon disabling of her 2nd Landship, she realized she had lost an arm. After tourniqueting and with complete disregard for her own personal safety, she climbed out of the landship with a submachine gun, rallied her troops, and charged an entrenched enemy. Inspired by this display of bravery, her unit continued the attack and seized a vital river crossing, and liberated the town after 3 years.
Representing the highest ideals of gallantry, fortitude, initiative, and loyalty, in the performance of her duty, she is keeping in the highest traditions of the People's Armed Forces. For action performed on the 137th day of Tempus Ecclesia 2819 to liberate Kantornne, Gyda, daughter of Trouse, is posthumously awarded the Legion of Service and Order of the Liberator.
