I built the RG Sazabi a few weeks ago and never posted it because I planned to do decals and stuff. But those are gonna take a while still and I’m doing other kits, so here’s the first round.

The Sazabi is very cool, and is a big boy. The shield is a bit wonky and likes to fall out in lots of poses, but there’s so much articulation and greebles and things here… it’s amazing. I’m preparing to have a Zaku vs Gundam display with this vs ν Gundam at the front of each side, and the sheer scale difference makes an impression.

The inner frame was really fun this time, I intentionally built the whole thing and then did armor from one side to the other just because it seemed fun, even though the instructions have a very different order they want you to go in.

Yet again I’m sad the cockpit isn’t functional. Gimme cockpit gimmicks. Maybe you need MGs and PGs for that, but I’m still gonna ask for them.

most-to-all of the older premade-inner-skeleton RGs have actual cockpits! the tradeoff is that said premade inner skeleton rgs have a tendency to get hella loose over time. alas... the Real Cockpit Action died with the premade frame i guess

I mean the Mk. II has an articulated cockpit (it just only partially opens and Kamille doesn’t fit inside) and this also has the head cockpit with some articulation there’s just even less chance of Char fitting inside. I’m just demanding better and more ridiculous engineering.

the PG Mark II's panoramic cockpit has, like, thin chromed interior walls for the screens and it's really cool. i bet it would be even cooler if i had both the batteries and the construction experience when i built it to get the LEDs going...
