this doesn't matter at all but it's really weirded me out recently how speedrun vods have started to shift from (going to make one up so I'm not singling out anyone in particular lmao) "Halo 2 Classic Legendary Any% 1:28:25" to "I beat HALO 2 on LEGENDARY in less than 90 MINUTES!"

it also doesn't help that there are people making speedrun reaction videos that can get mixed up in this so you'll be looking for a speedrun and find someone's video titled like, "WORLD RECORD HALO 2 LEGENDARY SPEEDRUN IS INSANE!!!" and not know if that person is a speedrunner or a reaction youtuber. gotta click to find out πŸ˜‰

it's all part of a bigger trend of youtube videos moving further and further away from descriptive titles and toward sensational clickbait titles. even channels like How to Cook That, who are vocally anti-clickbait, will still do it with videos titled things like "5-min crafts DESTROYED my microwave!" which is not unrepresentative of what happens in the video (she does test a 5 minute crafts DIY video and following the instructions breaks her microwave) but that's not what the whole video is about

or danny gonzalez, on his second channel, posting a 15 minute video titled "daddy gonzalez" with a thumbnail of him looking like it's a still from a vlog of him talking about him and his wife having a baby. and then it's a 15 minute video of him going through posts on his subreddit... and he talks about them having a baby for like 30 seconds. which is fine! I'm fine with that as a video! frankly I don't know if I would have sat through a 15 minute vlog about someone I don't know having a baby anyway, just call your videos what they are ffs

I went off topic oh well! youtube annoying
