haven't done one of these for series 16 yet so I'll start with a quick rundown of the first three episodes

episode 1 - almost entirely objective tasks so just a small difference here from the prize task

julian: 18 (-1)
lucy: 13
sam: 21
sue: 14 (+1)
susan: 14

episode 2 - justice for piazza slippery. sorry to sue but as an american I could not possibly care less about her boring BBC sign

julian: 16
lucy: 12 (+2)
sam: 15 (+3)
sue: 13 (-6)
susan: 21 (+2)

episode 3 - first episode of the series that really clicked for me. the nickname task had me crying. susan just tickling alex with feathers because she clearly didn't know what else to do with the concept of "chain bastard" while sam was just being ignored by strangers. phenomenal television

julian: 21 (+2)
lucy: 17
sam: 23 (-1)
sue: 8 (-2)
susan: 8 (+2)

episode 4

julian: 19 (+2)
lucy: 16 (-2)
sam: 21 (+4)
sue: 13 (-5)
susan: 5 (-6)

rough scoring for sue and susan here but come on. susan got 2 points for presenting a pile of underwear and strawberries and calling it a sausage?? I loved greg giving them 2 points for the team task because sam called them "dynamite chicks" but that should've been a DQ

greg was out of his mind on the prize task, giving sam 1 point because a birth certificate is not "meant for" a child. come on greg!!!

digging into the art task: I gave sam 5 because his scream was really ambitious and well executed. 4 for julian because he played it safe with the dots but it also looked great. 3 for sue because the mona lisa was messy but ambitious. 2 for susan because it was fairly disappointing for something that safe. 1 for lucy because the poppies were hilariously bad

series scores so far

julian: 74 (+3)
lucy: 58
sam: 80 (+6)
sue: 48 (-12)
susan: 48 (-2)

I really love this lineup individually and I'm glad they're starting to warm up in the studio a bit more. kind of weak episodes to start but I feel like we have entered the Good Taskmaster Zone now. I've said before that I became obsessed with sam campbell standup over the past few months but I have to give a shoutout to julian clary and lucy beaumont too because they are cementing themselves in the taskmaster "everything they say makes me laugh" hall of fame alongside all-stars like guz khan, bob mortimer, and judi love

Greg was so good this episode too, I hope we get outtakes of the conversation that must have happened about how Susan did not make a sausage. And god Lucy is so tremendous. I want to know every single thing that happened in her mind while she made a fruits & veggies baby food sausage
