If you want to make the worst stickers the cheapest way, you can buy a receipt printer (~20$ on AliExpress) and load it with adhesive thermal paper (cheap) and send it little binary bitmaps to print at like 180xwhatever, slightly blurred. They don't need ink and run indefinitely with no maintenance, which is neat. Of course, you're limited by the medium, which is a cut-rate receipt printer.
