ek basically means “start x” so commanding one to sit would mean that the emphasis that ek brings is good.

"as if you died!" it's weird in English, but it's kind of comedic in Esperanto. i had a debate about this one with some friends for what would be the best, and this is my preferred choice. «ekŝajnu morte» is fine too.

the -um- suffix is weird, it signifies that the word is in some way related to the root word, and is usually constructed in-speech, but both of these usages are almost always understandable in context. there are different ways one could say wag, but i think vostumi is the best here. you could also say «svingi onian voston» for “swing one's tail” but «vostumi» demonstrates a good use of the -um- (along side kolumo—kolo (neck) + -um- (something related to...))
