oph jeez i am like TIRED tired i've been playing around with computers today because i can't really go anywhere (hurricane fun) and i've been going full "Druaga1" on this laptop scavenging different stuff from like other computers and whatnot to FINALLY get a wifi card on here that freebsd likes!!!! and guess what!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WORKS NOW !!!!!!!!!!!! :DDDD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IT'S SO COOL I LOVE COMPUTILETO

i installed ubuntu unity today and honestly i REALLY fuck w it. like it's not perfect but holy FUCK i miss unity being a desktop so much, and it's really capable (obviously because unity was Peak) but i'm just reeling from how modern it still is. it's not perfect, i couldn't get the on-screen keyboard to work on login yet, but come october i bet this thing is gonna fucking SLAP. that, and seeing it paired with my old school 2009 primo active digitizer art workstation laptop just makes me feel warm on the inside it makes me want to manufacture a new battery for it specifically to use it more often. it's so good.

why the fuck do programs even intrusively auto update????? i turned off that discord auto update thing about 2 months ago and i've just been updating when i feel like it and it feels SO much better than not being able to launch discord without running pacman when i am opening it with a specific goal when i choose open it. it's like,,,,,,,,,,,, i'm perfectly capable of realizing that i have downtime on a program and going "now would be a good time to install an update" instead of having it be FORCED UPON ME OUTSIDE OF MY CONTROL. not even with a little reminder, nothing. discord is so fucking stupid
