I feel like I handled tumblr and in turn cohost way differently that I've seen anyone else mention.

My method for finding new blogs:

  • Go to a beloved mutual (or just someone I follow) who's opinion I trust
  • Follow every artist they reblogged from over the last week
  • Follow every original poster they reblogged that made a post that made me chuckle
  • Follow-back 80% of people that follow me
  • Unfollow people as they post things I don't find interesting/amusing

Boom, populated dashboard. Remember unfollowing is morally neutral, you don't need to feel bad about it, and remembering this will result in you getting a larger dashboard to interact with.

i also reccomend going to search, searching every thing you can think of as "and interest" and following anyone who made a quality post that you can find
