saw a cybertruck in real life crossing a small intersection near my house

everyone says they're even uglier in real life than they look in pictures.
folks, I did not believe this because the bar was already buried into the ground, but somehow it's true. that thing is hideous. its physical form defies any sense of design.

I had those Papyrus Nascar games for windows. I know what that game looks like when you disable textures. Those things still looked like cars. They had, like, shapes.

Hell, Virtua Racing was one of the first games I got when I started 32X collecting, because the game slaps, and those cars still pretty much look like cars.

The cybertruck -- and I intuitively understood this given all the ways they've made the news -- looks like someone needed to fill space with a car but forgot to build the car and spent 10 minutes in blender with no references. It appears as a blighted, digital glitch on the real world, and it really must be seen to fully comprehend what this means

I love the visual design of it ngl. if it weren't the product of one of humanity's primo assholes I'd defend it all day long. I mean, is it ugly? you bet your ass it is. but at least it's different. imagine if the truck world consisted of everyone's bespoke and highly inadvisable form factors instead of the hi-chair headlight-look-extra-angry grill-kinda-reminds-you-of-a-big-mac dreck we have now? what a wonderful thought.

My biggest issue with the design is that it's shaped like an abstract sedan but it feels closer in size to an F-150. The combination just makes it look like a brick in practice.

If Musk had any taste is would be shaped more like a kei truck from the Stunt Race FX universe (googly eyes included).
