i love this place so much even in spite of the fact that the first post i ever made on here was this gif and i got reported for it. cohost forever
cohost was a success. i don't give a shit about the off-site numbskulls trying to stunt on its grave because the culture of cohost rejected their antisocial bullshit wholecloth. we didn't just exist together, we thrived together. so many users i've seen offering posts about how much this site means to them, so many saying this site was therapeutic, so many users saying they'd rather not re-immerse themselves in the wider internet and would rather just get outside more or pick their hobbies up more.
people are so fed up with the rest of the internet that without cohost, they'd rather go outside.
that, in my opinion, is a resounding fucking success.
i think social media just isn't for me. ill probably keep my tumblr bc i have under 100 followers and i dont think im ever going to have more, but as i get older i find that i want more to have a small site to just make long posts on or to just start writing both fan fiction and just my thoughts. i do fucking loathe tumblr still, and it's very hateful and stupid but i need somewhere to find art on occasionally until that ship sinks
