✨ queer ✨

Been ill recently with a chest infection but it's slowly tapering off. Looking forward to a semi-relaxed weekend with some films and games to occupy me. Having to stay my hand on Harvestella for the sake of my wallet what with God of War and Pokémon on the horizon, but it looks so goood 😭 Loved Stardew so it looks right up my street. Only time will tell if I can remain strong through the weekend I guess. Mostly playing AC:Valhalla and Overwatch 2, where my life as a Mercy main has its ups and downs with cowardly teams or competent ones. Her new Miko outfit is sooo nice tho!!

Also recently hit over 900 on films watched which is kinda neat (letterboxd here if peeps want to trade a follow). Means I'll hit 1,000 next year. Hopefully watch a couple more over the weekend. I'd sworn off the horror genre for a literal year after watching The Exorcism of Emily Rose in my early 20's but made an effort to break into it this year, with a lot of success. I had no idea it was so varied, and funny at times! There are still some a little too unnerving for me (looking at you Hereditary) but on the whole my tolerance has definitely bumped up. Evil Dead 2 is probably next on the list to watch.

Otherwise, things continue to go well on the healthcare front. Having to go private because, y'know, the UK is so bad projected wait times for some clinics are 35+ years (I'll probs make a post on this over the weekend) but I'll be arranging an appointment for the ol' freezerino at the start of next week and I'm nearing the final stages of finally getting a prescription for HRT. So 2023 continues to look like it'll (hopefully!) be a hit year. I have red hair so laser was a no-go for me and it's electrolysis 100%, which will take years and it's hard not to get weighed down by it and how prohibitive it is for being able to present (hair growth for 3 days, appointment, two days of healing/no makeup). It is what it is though, and considering the £18-24k price tag it'll likely land at by the time it's all said and done I'm honestly just privileged to be able to access it.

Anyway, that's about it other than work and that's all going well. Fortunate to work for a company that respects who I am and appreciates the work I do.
