Lattice modifiers in blender

In the first two images I am using lattice's to add simple soft body physics to a complex object. because the lattice has significantly fewer vertex's the physics is faster and more stable.

In the second two I am using a lattice to change the proportions on a robot. the lattice lets me experiment with relatively large changes non-destructively
