Picked this one up in the bookstore while I was looking for book of the new sun and remembered it was reccommended in a innuendo studios vid.
Really enjoyed it! I imagine this is a common experience with detective fiction but I found the books first section while it was setting up the mystery to be more engaging than the reveals but this is levied by delivering on some buck wild sequences at the climax of the second and third sections respectively.
I would give anything to see the stage adaptation that sounds incredible.
Would definitely reccomend for disco Elysium enjoyers. Detective Borlu is the classic scrungly detective man we know and love and I couldn't stop picturing him as Du Bois with better hair.
I know the authors transitioned to nonfiction in recent years and would be interested to check some of that out as well, didn't know this book was from '09.
