You should check this out! I have 2 games in it, both It Started With Hairs and com__et, but there's lots of other good stuff too. Here's a few recommendations of stuff I've played, with notes on how long and what kind of level of horror/vibe they have.
“Reborn a zombie!” is a queer story about friendship, acceptance, and a world full of cute monsters! Will she find happiness at the end of her journey, or is it the start of a new one?
Not really scary, has relatively light monsters and magic stuff even as it does deal with somewhat difficult topics. About 2-3 hours depending on reading pace.
Neotrogla
ᙙᙖ Neotrogla is a Twine horror story about discomfort in who you are, urban decay, weird hobbies, and bugs. ᙙᙖ
Much more horror vibes, very effective at instilling an unsettling vibe. Mostly text and audio for atmosphere, not particular graphic. Took me about 40 minutes to play.
He Fucked the Girl Out of Me
The title doesn't fuck around. A very intense and harrowing if grounded story. It has in game content warnings you should read especially if you think the title might strike a nerve for you. But it's well worth playing, a deeply personal and effective story. The writing is raw and honest, and makes good use of the game mechanics for storytelling. About 60-90 minutes reading time.
