my favorite bit in the first Alan Wake is the FBI agent who for some reason I don fully understand has it in for Wake, and when he first sees Wake he's like "get on the ground, Hemmingway" and then immediately realizes that this is a Bit and that he's committed to it. He's trapped in this Bit; this Bit is his life now. So from that point forward every time he sees Wake he's like "hands where I can see them, Dan Brown" or "alright listen up Stephen King" and when the Dark Presence unceremoniously murks him, it's probably almost a relief for him because I bet he was getting pretty close to running out of author names for this joke

I just replayed it these last couple weeks and he goes through so many authors, it's pretty impressive after a point, especially since he's supposedly drunk off his ass the whole time. Stephen King is the final one like right before he gets murked, thought that was a good touch.
