i love that chinese has its own (rarely used, archaic) equivalent of words like flocci­nauci­nihili­pili­fication (the habit of describing things as meaningless): 𪚥

this character, which has 64 strokes (for context, the most you'll normally see in day to day reading and writing of languages that use chinese characters, in my experience, is about 20), the most strokes attested in chinese writing, simply means "verbose." turns out some jokes are simply funny no matter when or where they're being made.
