playing the demo for System Shock's remake right after mainlining a shitton of Prey (2017) + Mooncrash* is certainly an adjustment but damn do i love it so far
even if the game is still def a m+kb title, it adapts reasonably well for controller and also captures the experience i had with the original System Shock well already. which is: fuck around and find out. you WILL inevitably fuck around, you WILL inevitably find out what will happen if you fuck up
very little in this demo is tutorialized so far and it's making discovering things feel like a genuine accomplishment. fuck am i gonna buy yet another game this weekend
*only bringing up Prey due to its Steam Deck control scheme being fucking astounding and making me feel like i could maybe look into community layouts for System Shock should i end up getting it
