I think a lot of people erroneously, probably even internally, view things presented in a documentary format as a sort of objective view of things but I don't think you could be further from the truth. every documentary has a lens! even when it tries to present "just the facts," how those facts are presented and framed, how they are given priority, all of these reveal the lens the documentary is viewing the subject through! editing is expression!!
