One big side thing that sucks about Twitter dying is that there are SO many stray old game developers on there who dropped knowledge that's referenced from Japanese Wikipedia.
There are a few things I've used like the Nekketsu Oyako concept art from my PlayStation Experiment review that aren't documented anywhere except Twitter. I try to make sure the Wayback Machine gets them when I see them, but I can't get them all.
yyyyyyup, and I feel like a chump for not being more diligent about archiving or just indexing all the useful old posts I've stumbled upon over the years, not just because the rapid decline of the site has been inevitable for a minute but because I put too much faith in my own ability to recall the sources of all these info, so once my muscle memory for the workings of [internet monolith xyz] starts to disappear (or the sites simply stop functioning as they did or should), all that stuff goes away right quick
