like you can go "oh just use darkreader" and whatever all you want, sure, but it doesn't really solve the problem? in fact, it doesn't even really solve common use case issues. darkreaders on phones, for instance, aren't really an accessible thing and even on desktop there's a pretty clear barrier to entry there
so yeah I think it makes sense to push for there being a proper dark mode, but at the same time uh some people could stand to be a little more chill about it? there's a pretty stark difference between being loudly disappointed and demanding everything be dropped in favour of implementing this feature
