unfortunately a problem of most publishers just not making demos for their games anymore period. the form is dictated by the people still doing them. it sadly is mostly just capcom, who looooooves timed demos.
here's the thing though
it's not mostly just capcom. it's the entire fuckin' indie game scene now. if there's a demo for an indie game, publisher or no? 99% chance it's gonna be a timed steam nextfest thing
