The network dragon could use any of the three true protocols: IPX (Ignited People Exchange), NetBEUI (Network of Burninating You and Everyone Inside) or TCP (Thatched-Cottage People). This was a marked improvement over TolkienRing, which previously had been the one protocol to rule them all.
