I've been allegedly productive in that I now have a general handle on how Unity's ECS shit is handled, and it might be the worst system I've ever used. It's heavily reliant on boilerplate; its integration into the engine from a UX is sloppy at best; if you leave a certain compilation option toggled, it'll sometimes completely lock up during compilation; and overall it just has that Unity feature stink. The kind of thing where they no doubt got hundreds of pages of feedback from people trying to use it, but for some reason or another, it just didn't make it to implementation. I have no doubt that Entities is to somebody what the SRP is to me
