as a long time hater of the courtly romance genre, i've long fantasized about a straightforward courtly romance series where midway through the last episode commoners suddenly storm in and gruesomely pitchfork the entire cast. you've just inspired me with a similar idea of a wholesomecore farming/social sim where about ten hours in, tanks roll through your village, your mayor and general store owner become collaborators, and the genre suddenly shifts to a turn based tactics game.
