my strongest tech with worldbuilding is to bind every cool aspect of a world to a character who does meaningful shit.
there's a cool metal? this soldier has armor made out of it
there's a sickass fighting style? this commander specifically uses it to fuck up their enemies who use the same style
there's a cool aspect to the magic? the only reason this gardener can harvest mandrakes is because of their silencing aura..
people care about people, first and foremost.

I can't deal with bluesky. it's just twitter again. they made another twitter. I do not like twitter on a fundamental level from well before musk took over. twitter as a platform is bad and bluesky does nothing to address the things that made it bad
the most cursed unity coding trick that i keep doing with FISH FEAR ME is the stunning fact that you don't need to instantiate prefabs in order to use their values. in order to get fish information for the game's bestiary (there's a bestiary btw), i'm referencing a non-extant prefab which contains a list of every fish prefab, and then trawling those non-extant prefabs for information like its sprite, name, and spawning conditions
