Before a few days ago I had never done any programming that involved drawing individual pixels to the screen. However, a friend of mine accidentally sent me down a very deep rabbit hole (that being procedural cartography generation) and having spent a considerable portion of the last few days trying to get pixels to do what I want in p5js, I gotta say: drawing pixels to the screen fuckin sucks

If normal people understood what even a rudimentary video game involves, they would never complain about a ship date or a bug ever. It’s a miracle any of this stuff works at all.

I mean when it works you feel like the smartest person on the planet, a Master Geometer who has taken the music of the spheres and used it to conjure an illusion from nothing, so there is a payoff. Theoretically.
