i wouldnt call this a "treasure" per se, just a great example of a funny old ad. (i'm looking through archive.org's argosy magazine collection this evening and mostly looking at the ads)
campbells soup: for when you want a "dainty little luncheon" but you have ONLY ONE MAID. or even no help at all!
the phrase "these excellent soups" also really tickles me, as does the larger context of the assertion that these excellent soups will simplify my household problems. just an all-around slam dunk of an ad for soup.

found a new-to-me archive of open access stuff! the massachusetts digital archive has a big heap of Stuff. mostly photos and text, but a bit of other stuff, including a collection of 19th century "trade cards" - little ads which seem to be MOSTLY racist caricatures and ugly little babies. there's also some nature illustrations and ~sexy ladies~. a weird collection of things. i liked this lady. the texture of the etching on her skin and hair is really nice.
