Kun ihmiskunta lopulta lakkaa olemasta, 200 vuoden jälkeen ilmakuvasta ei voi nähdä sen edes koskaan olleen olemassa. Tämä on lohdullista.

This is so damn accurate. I'm willing to give season 2 a free pass though, as that had an interesting take on the Borg. Season 3 however was so bad. The only good thing they had was the changeling baddie and they killed her off in the most unsatisfying manner just to reveal the real bad guys were the Borg all along (while retconning season 2 in the process).

What I especially find funny is that none of the seasons even have anything to do with the Borg, really. They're just...there, getting in the way of the story. Each season desperately wants to tell us about the old guy who'd rather risk his life zipping around space to avoid calling his friends to express his grief and regret. But no, we can't let the audience dwell on anything uncomfortable, so...

That's very true! Season 1 would have worked just as well without the Borg, Season 2 could just as well have used a different thing as the time travel thingamajig (though, as said, I found the Jurati/Borg Queen bit the most interesting thing they've done with the Borg since... IDK, First Contact? So I'm willing to give it a pass), and Season 3... it was such a disappointment when it turned out the baddies were the Borg AGAIN. I still haven't actually finished watching it because I just lost interest when the Borg appeared.

Oh, you're right, the Jurati thing was interesting, though I wish that it didn't come out of nowhere...and then wander back off nowhere. And yes, the final season, if you think of the series as allegorical, it goes to some really frustrating places once they throw the Borg back into the mix.
