imo kira and dax are written better more consistently than the next gen women characters but so far there's still been some real bad romance episodes (through no fault of these actresses)
like i feel like i can see terry farrell trying to make the audience believe she's in love with [checks notes] the guy on the Brigadoon planet she met hours ago but the writing is just not there. it's one of the most frustrating thing to me about 90s trek
