The politics of a social platform are reflected in its operational characteristics. Twitter was liberal and it worked okay and was miserable, now it's fascist and barely works and is miserable. Mastodon's got a lot of anarchists, so it's distributed and runs on donations of time, labor, and hosting. Every successful revolutionary movement has had ways of handling the labor and material needs required.
