Pont Luis I connects Porto (background) to Vila Nova de Gaia across the Douro river. After the construction of Metro do Porto line D, the top level of the bridge has been restricted fpr use by the trams, pedestrians and bycycles (though I certainly would not want to cycle in the hilly city).
