Kun ihmiskunta lopulta lakkaa olemasta, 200 vuoden jälkeen ilmakuvasta ei voi nähdä sen edes koskaan olleen olemassa. Tämä on lohdullista.

The problem with me going to the sauna is that I will sit for hours in a small room in temperatures I would consider unbearable under any other circumstances, come up with a large number of detailed thoughts on subject I should write about online (today ranging from the Eurovision boycott to how poorly history in general and the rise of nazism in particular is taught in schools)... then when I finally come out, I'm too relaxed to actually want to write any of them.

So please, pretend I just said something smart.

As someone living in central Helsinki, Kärkkäinen is so far out of my sphere of experience I sometimes forget they exist. And regarding Nestle, my quality of life has improved tremendously once my partner stopped working for a corporation owned by them (again. They left them once already, but the bloody capitalists bought the new workplace too).

My main gripe with Nazism is that we act as if everyone knew they had been bad from the start and just throw away all the nuance – when the nuance would help us understand that yes, genuinely until circa 1939 the nazis appeared not that different from the various rightist populist parties that exist all over Europe today. By presenting the nazis as full evil from day one, we're making it much harder for people to understand the actual message we should learn from the rise of nazism.

Oh yeah, I did also have thoughts about gender as equality, as a result of applying to work in the parliament earlier today. (Yes, the irony of me, an anarchist, applying to work in the main statist institution is not lost on me_).
