Phase two of adventures in book binding (the previous project was documented here and here). The copy of John Wyndham's Uhka syvyydestä (The Kraken Awakes) I inherited from my dad was literally in pieces, and I did enjoy reading it (although the ending was a bit rubbish), so I thought I would try to save it. The project proved more complex than I thought, as some sheets near the beginning and end had been torn in half, so I had to try to glue new paper to them to try to make them into whole sheets again. But that seems to have been a success, and I've been able to retie most of the pages back together.
