I'm going to miss this site (I expect everyone knows by now that Cohost is shutting down). It felt like a breath of fresh air after so many years of being fed algorithmic slop. I discovered interesting people I probably wouldn't have discovered otherwise, and while the place having so few users was bad from the business point of view, the place being pretty quiet did make for a nicer experience; like in the old internet, I could log in, check out what my select friends have posted since I was away, and leave.
I've no idea where to go from here to be honest. Some peeps I'm interested are posting links to their bluesky so I guess I'm trying out that one – but frankly I don't like the Twitter format, so if anyone is going to migrate to a Tumblr style place, let me know.
Funny though. Quitting Tumblr was easy, despite the masses of people I followed there. This place is much harder. (Okay, Tumblr also had an ideological element after their harrassment of trans users and selling data to AI training).
Anyway, I'll probably continue posting here until this place closes down. I guess I'll be posting some face+dick pics... why not, since the place is going down anyway?
