Personal design opinion: I think this was pretty much the best proposal by the virtue of having something else than white as the base colour. The fact it also ignored the interlacing pattern that is a part of the current VR visual image helps too. The forest pattern is subtle enough that from a distance the train just looks like it's green.

I would have moved the logo to the bit without windows on the top left of the carriage though, so that the windows don't break it up so badly.
