Many might be familiar to the Cartoon Network Theatre 2002 movie "Big Fat Liar" with Frankie Muniz and Paul Giamatti. About a kid that gets forced to make a story for english class otherwise he fails the year, which inspires him to make a story so entertaining that it gets stolen by a hollywood director, hijinx ensue.
Although suspension of disbelief is necessary otherwise it doesn't make much sense, and to people my age the constant reruns on the Cartoon Theatre made the nonsense very noticeable with each consequent viewing. It's still a childhood classic for many people and chances are your first viewing is gonna be enjoyable if you are willing to submerge in the cartoon logic of the movie.
Now let me talk to you about Bigger Fatter Liar
It's really hard to talk about Bigger Fatter Liar having just summarized the first movie, because although the title implies it's either a sequel or an expansion of the first movie, this 2017 production is actually a beat-for-beat retelling of the 2002 original. Major key differences being the cast, the character of Kevin (played in by Frankie in the original) needing to do a programming assignment instead of an english class essay, and the villain of the story stealing it to turn it into a masterclass of AAA gaming instead of a Hollywood movie. Oh yeah, the biggest difference of them all This movie is harrowingly unfunny
From the acting
Masterclass coding prodigy game design
And world class editing and set design
This movie will shock you, and I heavily recommend watching the first one before it so you can compare.
