i've been feeling a bit stagnant in terms of the structure of my music and the way i've been writing melodies. i want to avoid my go-to intro-A-B-A-outro structure, and while i like the humanness of improvising on my launchpad, my technical skills limit me to a degree. i think i want more melodic complexity
maybe it's time to impose arbitrary constraints, like an A-B-C-D structure. and maybe i can improvise the foundation of a melody, but then i transcribe, embellish and rework it
hmm, maybe one of those to start with, but not both
