i want to try to focus on groove and vibe in my next music project. i don't think i need to be so scared of repetition. it's nice to sit in a chill lil musical pocket, auditorily speaking
basically i'm trying to make microtonal downtempo with less emphasis on melody than what i generally write. i also just think microtones could bring a fun feel to the genre. plus the increased resolution when writing chords (i.e., there are more steps in a 31-EDO octave for instance) gives you greater ability to express emotional nuance
