I haven't found anything so far that delves into generalized microtonal theory. I'm sure there are books about specific types of microtonal tuning systems (especially the traditional Middle Eastern and Javanese systems), but nothing that's just like "Hey, here's a primer on everything that isn't 12-EDO."
that's kind of been my experience as well! hmm, maybe i should investigate sources on the xenharmonic wiki, that could be promising!
The Xen Wiki is always such an odd place since there's a wild disparity between articles. Some of them are really thorough and look professionally researched, whereas others look like they were created by a single person and are basically just their own unique interpretation of a given musical concept. (This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just strange/exhilarating to read music theory that's independently formulated rather than historical consensus lol)
