being trans/non-binary is weird cause i feel like i unpaused myself at 29 and am only relatively recently discovering things like oh, actually i'm not terrible at music, i just didn't like playing school band music on trumpet, and weird microtonal electronic stuff is super mega immersively fascinating to me
and also just like, the things i thought i wanted to do with my life in school are in some ways super different from what feels important and enjoyable and meaningful now
anyway ya idk, just, i feel a little frustrated on the one hand that circumstances/a narrow definition of musical inclination/general enculturation to normalcy prevented me from discovering the more authentic self i feel able to express now, but also later is way better than never, and i'm grateful to have found a creative niche that works for me
