one of the surprisingly more difficult things for me learning to play bass is songs that are basically just one maybe two riffs for the entirety of the verse or chorus. give me some funky mathy moving line or eighth notes on chord roots i’m ur gal. but ask me to play the same mildly complicated riff 20 times in a row and i’m fucking up constantly lol.
like i can nail this riff a few times in a row but after 6-7x times consecutively i’m making small mistakes each time then over correcting into other mistakes on the next pass and it kinda just falls apart. it’s like an endurance test for the fingies
