fun fact/exposition: wisconsin pharmacies legally require a pharmacist to be in the pharmacy to do any work whatsoever. so pharmacies that are too cheap (yet again multibillion dollar company btw) to pay two pharmacists for overlapping shifts are legally required to close for a half hour so the pharmacist gets one break. this has been a thing for only six-seven years but has always been 1:30-2:00pm since i started working here in 2021. honestly it’s a really nice part of the job just getting a half hour to chill with ur coworkers all at the same time instead of alternating breaks.
anyway, today before we closed for our lunch break some older woman in her 60s/70s walked up to the counter as i was rolling down the metal shutter. i told her that she could come back in a half hour and we’d be happy to help her. she responds “seriously?” and i’d just gone, “yeah we need to eat” and she started repeatedly yelling “I NEED MY PILLS” and slammed her fist against the shutter. before walking away continuing to yell it. toddler behavior from someone roughly three times my age
update, she literally didn't come back so i guess she didn't need them that bad or she recognized how childish she acted
