one thing that’s a lot harder for me on bass than i was expecting is ghost notes. like conceptually it seems so simple, creating a percussive sound by plucking an open string but dampening with your fretting hand so it so it doesn’t resonate out like a normal note. but gosh it’s a pain to get right, like when ur interspersing some in a line between normal notes trying to get the pressure right so it doesn’t fret but isn’t just an open note is kinda tricky to do consistently at tempo (i definitely just need to practice them more). plus depending on the finger position on the fretboard sometimes i accidentally just do a pinch harmonic, which sounds cool but definitely isn’t right lol
the screenshotted line is the riff that plays in both choruses and the bridge into the conclusion. literally one of my fav songs, joe dart goes so hard
